I am a senior at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering majoring in Integrated Design & Media and minoring in Disability Studies. In combining these two fields, I hope to help develop assistive technology and help enhance accessibility in both digital and physical spaces.
Over the past few years, I have taken several accessibility-related courses, such as Developing Assistive Technology, and have worked with many organizations, such as The Seeing Eye and X/Twitter, on accessibility-related projects. Through these endeavors, I have learned extensively about best accessibility practices, universal design principles, and disability justice. Overall, I have a strong passion for accessibility and ensuring people can do anything they desire.
Lastly, I will share a few fun facts about me. I am from Gaithersburg, Maryland and live there with my family and 15-year-old Bichon Frise named Rosie. In my free time I enjoy painting, watching movies with my family and friends, and completing jigsaw puzzles.
